Play sobosuba online in the official browser demo

The cover above loads the official demo from keepee.itch.io/sobosuba when you choose to play. No game files are hosted here. On 2026-10-29, an HTTP check of itch.io/embed-upload/18794077 returned 200 with no frame restriction in the response headers. This page uses itch's supported embed shell.

What you get is the free demo. sobosuba.com says the demo is free and the full game is paid, both on Steam, for Windows and Linux, plus this browser demo. The US Steam price was $3.99 on 2026-10-29. Steam also lists a separate demo app (5017590, released 2026-08-12). Nobody has published a line-by-line difference between the itch build and the Steam build. A wiki claim that the demo has no achievements conflicts with the Steam demo’s store categories, which include achievements and leaderboards. Those two statements stay side by side. This page does not pick one.

What “free online” does not mean

There is no official full-game download on the open web. The developer’s site says sobosuba.com, Steam, and itch.io are the only official homes, and other sites or apps using the name have nothing to do with the game. I do not link “full download”, key, or APK pages. If a page offers an installer, it is not one of those three homes.

On a phone the itch page says the demo is “not designed for mobile!” Steam patch 1.2 documents touch input; the itch build version has not been established, and that patch is not a phone app. The status, including player reports of freezes, is on the mobile page.
