Stable 1.2.3 · beta 1.3.3

sobosuba updates and patch notes

Steam’s news API for app 1946560 returned three posts when checked on 2026-10-29. This search did not locate an earlier public changelog. The 1.3 line is a beta the developer described on 2026-10-26. It is not in that news feed, and it is not the stable build.

1.2 — 2026-08-27

Languages added: Czech, German, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Russian, and Serbian. Real touch input. Cancel by pulling the arrow back to center. Any shoulder button can shoot, and sticks can be swapped. Fewer physics explosions. Menus rebuilt for a phone layout. Friends’ live scores and a friends filter. The developer wrote that the mobile version comes next, then extra modes, and linked Discord and X. The same post calls sobosuba the first “real” release after years of hobby projects, and says about 20% of sales were in Japan. That 20% is the developer’s figure.

1.2.2 — 2026-08-28

Simplified and Traditional Chinese, with thanks to RAI. Fixes a controller trigger that fired shots by mistake, and a crash in the language menu at startup.

1.2.3 — 2026-09-08

Quit mid-run and come back: closing the window saves, and the main menu has Save and Quit. The note says this is resume, not rewind. Wider fonts, with credit to daniilik and Noobly Walker. Japanese and Chinese switch to Han Rounded. Clean achievements no longer count extra blobs. The post ends with “mobile version soon,” and mentions a typo in the first second of the trailer.

1.3 beta — not stable

On 2026-10-26 the developer posted a large performance rewrite and pointed people at Steam → Properties → Game Versions & Betas → beta. The thread was edited on 2026-10-27 and names 1.3.3 at the time of writing. The Ardite video dated 2026-10-28 shows three modes: threes (merge three, powers of three), mobile (narrower board, no 64), and sprint (race to 8192). Only that video describes the modes. I am not writing them as a released update.

The store language list still showed English only on 2026-10-29, while the patch notes above add many languages. Both facts stand. See also the clean-achievement fix.

Ardite, published 2026-10-28. Shows threes, mobile, and sprint modes in the beta. One video, not a patch note.

Which version does a note describe?

Dates here belong to the linked developer announcements. They are not estimates of when a phone application will appear. The beta discussion was opened on 26 October and edited on 27 October; its reference to 1.3.3 is a snapshot of that discussion. The public news feed and the discussion thread are different kinds of evidence, even though the developer is the source of both.

These Steam notes do not prove that the itch browser demo has the same build. Feature parity has not been established. For phone availability, use the dated mobile status page; for supported desktop systems, see platforms and requirements.
