Same ladder, different physics
sobosuba vs 2048 vs Suika Game
I keep the three names apart on purpose. 2048, by Gabriele Cirulli in 2014, is a sliding grid under the MIT license. The original page says to use arrow keys so matching tiles merge. Suika Game, from Aladdin X, drops fruit into a container. sobosuba, by keepeetron, fires a soft numbered blob with a light or heavy shot. Media call it a spin on 2048 or a squishy Suika-like. It is not a reskin of either, and this page does not call it a clone.
Base single-player modes, checked 2026-10-29. Timed and multiplayer variants are outside this rules comparison. Product and regional prices are kept separate.

Games in the same family
2048 and Suika Game are the two public comparisons people actually search. Threes! is the older sliding-number game Cirulli’s 2048 followed. I am not listing or linking lookalike browser copies. An itch comment names an AI-made bootleg. That comment is a player remark. It is not a recommendation, and it is not linked here.
Rules of the soft-body one: how to play. Then tips and the demo.
Choose by the action you enjoy
Choose the original 2048 if you want to plan whole-grid slides with a clear spatial layout. Choose Suika's base game if you prefer dropping fruit and dealing with collisions. Try sobosuba if aiming, shot strength and deformable bodies are the part that interests you. These are comparisons of the described controls, not a ranked review or a claim that one game is objectively better.
The Suika publisher lists several products and modes. A timed multiplayer mode should not be confused with the base solo rules, and Planet should not be treated as the identical release on another platform. Confirm the exact product in the linked official listing. For sobosuba, the regional price table and mobile status explain the current buying options.
